Agenda
현재 1공학관의 5층 테라스는 설계에 지친 건축학도들이 쉬어 갈 수 있는 유일한 외부공간이다. 하지만 해당 테라스는 반듯한 직각의 그리드 속에 끼인 채 오픈스페이스로만 기능하며 답답하게 존재하고있다. 나는 직각의 질서 속에서 테라스에 개방감을 더하고, 건축학과의 중요한 공간들을 연결시키고자 하였다.
Currently, the terrace on the fifth floor of the Engineering Hall 1 is the only outside space where architects who are tired of design can take a rest. However, the terrace is stuck in a straight right-angled grid and functions only as an open space and exists frustratingly. I wanted to add a sense of openness to the terrace and connect important spaces in the Department of Architecture in the order of right angles.
Concept
개방감과 연결성을 더하기 위해 테라스를 시원하게 양옆으로 확장시키고, 도서관을 문이 없는 열린 도서관으로 변형시켰다. 그 후 5, 6층을 잇는 동시에 동선이 옥상까지 확장될 수 있는 스탠드형 계단을 배치했다. 이후 도서관 6층과 해당 동선을 연결할 수 있는 브릿지를 놓아 도서관의 활용도를 높혔다.
To add a sense of openness and connectivity, the terrace was extended to both sides, and the library was transformed into an open library with no doors. Then, a stand-type staircase with the possibility of extending the route to the rooftop was arranged while connecting the 5th and 6th floors. Since then, a bridge has been placed to connect the sixth floor of the library to the route to increase the utilization of the library.

반듯한 직각의 그리드 속에 오픈스페이스로서만 기능하고있다.

Program
한 직선으로 이어지는 계단을 가진 스탠드와 그로 인해 생겨난 여유공간들을 오픈 스페이스로 사용하여 6층의 공용공간을 추가했다.
The common space on the sixth floor was increased by using a stand with stairs leading in a straight line and the resulting free spaces as open spaces.
