성균관대학교 공학관 리모델링 프로젝트
기존의 공학관 건물은 600*900을 기본으로 하는 엄격한 질서로 구역되어 갇혀있는 그리드 공간이다. 제1공학관과 제2공학관 사이의 은행길의 어긋남을 부드럽게 연결시켜주는 공간으로 사용하였다. 기존의 두개의 공학관을 연결 시켜주는 다리 또한 곡선을 사용한 공간을 덧붙이며 리모델링을 진행하여 부드러운 느낌을 추가하였다. 은행길 전반에 걸쳐 부드러운 곡선의 공간에서 사용자가 잠시나마 부드러운 휴식의 공간에 들려 쉬고 지나갈 수 있도록 만들었다.

Sungkyunkwan University Engineering Building Remodeling Project
The existing engineering museum building is a grid space that is zoned and confined in a strict order based on 600*900. The bank road between the first engineering hall and the second engineering hall was used as a space to smoothly connect the deviation. The bridge that connects the two existing engineering halls also added a space using a curve and was remodeled to add a soft feeling. It is made so that users can rest and pass by a soft resting space for a while in a soft curved space throughout the bank road.

Problem

사이트의 메인 프로그램은 lecture과 research 이다. 내부에 쉬는 공간은 거의 존재하지 않고 외부 공간도 거의 사용되지 않는다. 사용자들은 목적에 맞는 건물만을 사용할 뿐 서로 교류하거나 소통하는 경우는 거의 없다.

The site’s main programs are electricity and research. There are few rest areas inside and little outside space is used. Users only use the right building for their purposes and rarely interact or communicate with each other.
