은행담(銀杏淡): 은행나무 아래 담백하고 여유로운 쉼터
성균관대학교 반도체관 뒤쪽에 위치한 사이트 B는 약 7m의 레벨 차가 있는 경사지이다. 이 사이트의 장점인 자연, 고요함, 안정감을 극대화 시켜 성균관대 학생들이 게이트를 이용하면서 편안함과 즐거움을 느낄 수 있도록 주안점을 두었다. 성균관대학교의 상징인 은행잎 모양의 매스를 경사지에 자연스럽게 어울리도록 배치하고 이 매스들을 중첩 시켜 다양한 공간과 이해 가능한 동선들을 만들어 냈다.
A Calm and Relaxed Shelter Beneath the Ginkgo Trees
Site B, located behind the Semiconductor Building at Sungkyunkwan University, is a sloped site with an elevation difference of approximately 7 meters. By maximizing the site’s inherent qualities—nature, tranquility, and a sense of stability—the design focuses on allowing Sungkyunkwan University students to experience comfort and enjoyment as they move through the site using the gate.
Masses inspired by the ginkgo leaf, a symbol of Sungkyunkwan University, are arranged to harmonize naturally with the sloping terrain. By overlapping these masses, a variety of spatial experiences and clear, intuitive circulation paths are created.
