도시는 복잡하다. 도시는 살아있다. 복잡하게 살아숨쉬는 도시는 마치 유기체와 같다. 유기체는 내부에 유기적인 시스템을 갖추어 스스로 활동한다. 그렇기에 이러한 도시를 바라보고, 그것의 미래를 예측하는 일은 어렵지만서도 흥미로운 작업이다.
Urban city is complexed. Urban city is alive. The complex living city is like an organism. Organisms work by themselves with organic systems inside. Therefore, looking at these cities and predicting their future is difficult but interesting.
여러가지가 얽히며 살아 숨쉬는 도시는 ‘다양성’이라는 단어로 설명가능하다. 다양하기때문에 복잡하고, 다양하기 때문에 살아있다.다양성이 밀집될수록 도시는 번영하였다. 다양성은 도시를 만들었고, 도시성이 증가할수록 다양성도 함께 증가한다.
A city that is alive and breathed in various ways can be described by the word ‘diversity’. Because it is diverse, it is complicated, and it is alive because it is diverse. Diversity has created cities, and diversity also increases as urbanity grows.
도시에 대한 수요는 계속해서 증가하기에, 어쩌면 미래엔 고밀도의 도시외엔 전부 그 모습을 감출 수 있다. 이 과정에서 도시를 위해 필요했지만 어쩔수없이 도시와 분리되었던 생산 프로그램들은 새로운 환경에 적응해야한다. 농업을 필두로한 자연기반적인 생산과, 발전소를 필두로한 도시기반적인 생산이 그것들이다. 두 가지의 생산 프로그램은 도시 깊숙한 곳으로 들어온다. 이들은 도시속에서 섬처럼 존재하는 것이 아니라, 기존의 존재하는 도시조직에 융합될 것이다. 문화사회적 다양성을 통해 형성된 도시는, 생산적 다양성까지 흡수하며 완전체로써의 도시의 모습을 나타낼 것이다.
Demand for the city continues to increase, and perhaps in the future all can hide its appearance except the high-density cities. In this process, the production programs that were necessary for the city, but inevitably separated from the city, must adapt to the new environment. They are nature-based production, with agriculture, and urban-based production, with power plants. Two production programs goes into the city. They will not merely exist as islands in the city, but will fuse into existing urban organizations. Cities which was formed through cultural and social diversity will absorb the productive diversity and represent complete urban city itself.
우연하게도 도시속에 존재하는 오피스, 중형급 도시 활동(medium format urban activity)인 춤 공간, 자연기반적 생산인 화훼농업, 그리고 도시기반적 생산인 원자력 발전소가 한 건물에 합쳐진다. 농장의 생산력을 높이기 위한 형태를 만들었고, 발전소의 안전성을 위한 격리 모두를 취하였다. 또한 두 생산 프로그램은 물이라는 요소를 공동으로 필요한다. 빗물을 집수하여 활용하며, 지붕에서 모아진 물은 건물을 순환하며 생산을 돕는다. 이 물은 지상층에 저장되는데, 개방된 지상층에서 물은 밀집된 도시 속 쉼터로써 활용된다. 두 생산 프로그램이 건물의 틀을 잡고, 그 안에 다양한 도시 프로그램이 들어올 수 있다. 오피스와 춤 공간은 적당한 격리와 연결성을 가진다. 이렇게 만들어지는 생산 융합체는 도시 곳곳에 자리잡을 것이다.
Coincidentally, an office in the city, a dancing space as a medium format urban activity, flower farming as a nature-based production, a city-based production as a nuclear power plant are integrated into one building. I have created a form to increase the productivity of the farm and have taken action for the safety of the plant. In addition, both production programs need a common element of water. The rainwater is collected and utilized, and the water collected from the roof circulates the building and helps production. This water is stored on the ground floor, where the water is used as a shelter in dense urban areas. The two production programs can form the building, and various urban programs can come in. Office and dance spaces have adequate isolation and connectivity. The resulting bio-productive mixture will be located throughout the city.
