Agenda
주택 설계를 하면서 두 가지는 꼭 염두에 두고 설계를 진행했다. 첫 번째는 오각형의 길, 경사진 대지와 동쪽의 저수지 뷰, 서쪽의 숲 뷰를 최대한 활용하자는 것이었고, 두 번째는 건축주 백종원에게 꼭 들어맞는 집을 설계하자는 것이었다. 세 자녀가 자유롭게 뛰어노는 모습과 백종원이 집의 스튜디오에서 촬영을 하는 모습을 상상하며 어떻게 하면 가족 구성원들에게 최적의 집을 그려나갈지 고민하였다.
While designing the house, I put two things in mind. First was to use the pentagonal and sloping land, which gives the reservoir view in the east, and the forest view in the west, and second was to design a house that fits the owner Baek Jong-won. Imagining Baek Jong-won’s three children playing freely and Baek Jong-won filming in the studio of the house, I thought about how to make a suitable house for Baek Jong-won’s family.
Client Analysis
백종원의 직업은 외식경영전문가 및 셰프이다. 그는 무엇이 히트를 칠지, 어떻게 하면 사업이 더 확장될 수 있는 지를 파악하고 그것을 실행할 때의 요리의 맛이나 분위기 등의 부가적 요소들을 분석하여 문제점을 개선하는 작업을 한다.
Jongwon Baek’s job is a restaurant management expert and a chef, who identifies additional factors such as the taste and atmosphere of cooking to improve problems and expand cooking business.
Design
먼저, 남북으로 긴 대지에 맞춰 ‘ㅅ’자 형태로 매스를 만들었다. 그다음, 촬영하러 오는 외부인과 백종원 가족의 동선을 겹치지 않게 하기 위해 가족을 위한 건물, 아이들을 위한 건물, 그리고 백종원 스튜디오 세 개로 매스를 분리하였다. 마지막으로 동서로 경사진 대지를 활용하여 건물에 단차를 두어 호수 뷰를 확보하였고 가족들이 한 장소에 모일 수 있는 중앙 데크 및 야외 수영장, 백종원의 개인 바 등 다양한 야외 공간을 조성하였다.
First, a mass was made in the shape of ‘ㅅ’ according to the long land from north to south. Then, in order not to overlap the movement of outsiders and Baek Jong-won’s family, the mass was divided into three buildings – for families, children, and Baek Jong-won’s studio. Finally, to get a good view of the lake, steps were made in the building by the east-west slope. Also, various outdoor spaces such as a central deck, an outdoor swimming pool, and Baek Jong-won’s private bar were created for families to gather in one place.

스탠드형 도서관을 따라 올라가면 아이들의 방과 공부 공간이 나온다. 2층 화장실은 옥상 수영장과 연결되며, 이는 맞은편 건물의 부부 거실과도 연결이 된다. 세 명의 아이들이 편하게 물놀이를 할 수 있는 동시에 아이들의 안전을 위해 부모가 지켜볼 수 있도록 만든 구조이다.
If you go up to the stand-type library, you will find children’s rooms and study spaces. The bathroom facing it is connected to the rooftop swimming pool. The rooftop swimming pool is also connected to the parent’s living room in the opposite building. This movement allows three children to play in the water comfortably while allowing parents to watch for their children’s safety.
대지 경사에 따라 뒤쪽 건물에 단차를 둬서 앞뒤 건물의 뷰를 해결한 모습이다.
The view of the back building is solved by placing steps according to the slope of the site.
부엌, 거실과 도서관으로 둘러싸인 데크를 만들어 가족들이 한자리에 모일 수 있는 외부 공간을 만들었다. 이 외부 공간은 건물 및 아이들 마당으로 둘러싸 프라이버시 문제를 해결하였다.
A deck surrounded by a kitchen, a living room, and a library was created for the family to gather in one place. It was surrounded by buildings and children’s yard to solve privacy problems.
