성균관대학교 자연과학캠퍼스에서 “언덕”이라는 환경은 조금 신선한 자연 조건이라고 생각한다. 경사에 따라 작은 숲이 어우러져 있고, 이 부분을 이용하면서 최대한 유지하기 위해 경사 위에 놓여진 듯한 단순한 매스 형태를 선택했다. 그리고 유동 인구가 적다 보니 동선을 분산 시키는 것보다는 동선을 하나의 매스에 집중시키는 것이 필요하다고 생각하여 하나의 매스로 구성하게 되었다. 경사를 올라가는 듯한 매스 안에서 하나의 동선으로 모든 공간을 체험하며 잠시 동안 쉴 수 있는 공간을 제공하는 컨셉으로 이 프로젝트를 시작하게 되었다.
At Sungkyunkwan University’s natural science campus, I think the environment of “The Hill” is a little fresh natural condition. A small forest is harmonized along the slope, and a simple mass form that seems to be placed on the slope was chosen to maintain this part as much as possible. And since the floating population is small, it was thought that it was necessary to concentrate the movement on one mass rather than to disperse the movement, so it was composed of one mass. This project was launched with the concept of providing a space where you can experience all spaces with a single movement within the mass that seems to be climbing the slope and rest for a while.
