본 프로젝트는 오로라의 역동적이면서도 부드러운 흐름을 실내 공간 안에 시각적 조형 언어로 재해석한 조명 설치 작품이다. 초기 단계에서 표면에 직접 색상을 입히는 방식은 형태의 연속성을 방해하는 한계가 있었으나, 이를 극복하고자 빛을 은은하게 투과시키는 반투명 특수 패브릭을 활용했다.
이렇게 선별된 패브릭을 겹겹이 중첩하여 레이어드 서피스를 구성하고 상·하부에 광원을 배치함으로써, 면의 경계는 부드럽게 감싸고 빛이 다방면으로 퍼져나가는 신비로운 오로라의 층위를 완성했다.
어두운 배경 속에서 몽환적인 컬러웨이와 유기적인 곡선이 어우러지는 이 조명은 정형화된 공간에 자연의 생명력과 깊이 있는 감성을 불어넣는 오브제로서 기능한다.
This project is a lighting installation artwork that reinterprets the dynamic yet fluid flow of an aurora into a visual architectural language within an indoor space.
In the early stages, applying color directly to the surface presented limitations that disrupted the continuity of the form; to overcome this, translucent special fabrics capable of softly transmitting light were utilized.
By layering these selected fabrics to form a structured multi-layered surface and placing light sources above.
