Background
옥인동은 과거부터 전입하는 사람보다 전출하는 사람이 많은 지역이다. 빈집이 30%나 되며 고령화지수는 서울시에서 두 번째로 높은 지역이다. 옥인동이 재생되기 위해서는 어린아이부터 어른, 노인까지 모든 생애 주기를 포용할 수 있는 곳이 되어야 한다고 생각했다. 그래서 다시 사람들이 들어와 살 수 있는 환경을 제공해줄 것이다.
Okin-dong is an area with more people moving out than in the past. The number of vacant houses is 30%, and the aging index is the second highest in Seoul. In order for Okin-dong to be regenerated, I thought it had to be a place that could embrace the entire life-cycle, from children to adults and the elderly. So it will provide an environment where people can come in and live again.
그 중에서도 아이들을 위한 공간을 만들어줘서 아이를 가진 부부가 이사올 수 있도록 하고자 한다. 그렇다면 과연 아이를 가진 사람들이 옥인동에 올 이유가 있는가?
Especially we want to create a space for children so that young couples with children can move in. If so, is there any reason for people with children to come to Okin-dong?
이 문제에 대한 해답은 요즘 트렌드인 ‘숲세권’에서 찾았다. 다양한 이유로 숲이나 공원 근처로 이사를 가는 것이 하나의 트렌드인 요즘 사이트 바로 뒤에 인왕산이 있는 점을 활용하기로 했다.
The answer to this problem was found in the recent trend, ‘Forest Segment’. I decided to take advantage of the fact that Inwangsan Mountain is located right behind the site. These days, where moving to a forest or a park is a trend for various reasons.
Program
사이트의 위쪽 존은 주거를 위한 공간이, 아래쪽 존은 기존에 살고 있는 사람들을 위한 커뮤니티센터(카페와 숲도서관)와 인왕산을 체험할 수 있는 숲체험 프로그램, 텃밭과 아이들을 위한 놀이시설이 있다. 커뮤니티센터는 인왕산을 바라보는 방향을 높여 사람들이 인왕산을 바라볼수 있도록 했다. 인왕산이 하나의 큰 고래의 몸집인 것이다. 인왕산 자락을 따라 내려오다가 커뮤니티 센터에서 인왕산의 멋진 절경을 바라볼 수 있게 위로 올라가는 형상을 띄게 한다.
The upper zone of the site has a space for housing, and the lower zone has a community center (cafe and library) for people living in the past, a forest experience program where you can experience Mt.Inwang, a garden and play facilities for children. The Community Center raised the direction of the view of Inwangsan Mountain so that people could see Inwangsan Mountain. Inwangsan is the body of one large whale. It descends along the foot of Inwangsan Mountain and rises upward so that you can see the magnificent view of Inwangsan Mountain from the Community Center.
우선 마을의 주출입구의 위치를 파악한 후 출입구 근처에 프로그램을 배치했다. 마을 위 모든 길이 커뮤니티센터와 연결되게 해서 범죄율을 낮춘다. 거주하는 사람들과 센터나 체험관을 이용하러 온 사람들의 동선이 만나지 않게 동선을 계획했다. 또한 거주자와 방문자의 동선이 겹치지 않도록 프로그램이 있는 건물의 입구를 큰 길 근처로 배치했다.
First, after identifying the location of the main entrance of the village, the program was placed near the entrance. All streets above the village are connected to the community center to reduce crime rates. The movement was planned so that the movement of residents and those who came to use the center or experience hall would not meet. In addition, the entrance of the building with the program was placed near the main road so that the movement lines of residents and visitors do not overlap.
