Agenda
고양이에게 그들의 야생성을 지켜주는 일은 아주 중요하다.
야생에서 그들의 역할은 ‘먹이사슬 단계 중 중간포식자’로 쫒고 쫒기는 과정이 삶의 전반을 지배한다. 이 공간은 주차공간에서 술래잡기를 하는 새끼고양이들의 행동에서 모티브를 따왔다.
It is very important for cats to protect their wildness.
Their role in the wild is that the process of being chased and chased as “intermediate predators during the food chain stage” dominates the whole of life. The space is inspired by the behavior of kittens playing tag in parking spaces.
The User, Cat
고양이는 야생성을 유지하기 위해서 탐험하기, 사냥하기, 죽이기, 먹기와 같은 행동을 실천한다.
반려인이 고양이의 야생성을 존중해 줄 때, 이들은 가장 큰 행복을 느낀다. 이러한 야생성은 먹이사슬의 중간단계의 쫓고 쫓기는 과정 속에서 안정을 느낄 수 있는 자신의 영역을 확보할 때 충족된다.
야생성이 남아있는 집고양이를 즐겁게 해주고 2.2m2 이내의 제한된 좁은 영역 안에서 사냥욕구와 영역욕구를 해결할 수 있는 공간이 필요하다.
Cats practice behaviors such as exploring, hunting, killing, and eating to maintain their wildness.
When their caregivers respect their cats’ wildness, they feel the greatest happiness. This wildness is satisfied when they secure their own area where they can feel stability in the process of chasing and being chased in the middle stage of the food chain.
There is a need for space to entertain domestic cats with wildness and to solve hunting and territorial needs within a limited narrow area within 2.2m2.
Concept
집고양이들이 서로 사냥을 하며 노는 공간
2개의 평면을 교차시켜 길게 뻗은 공간에서 마음껏 뛰놀 수 있고, 구멍 사이로 공간을 이동하며 다양한 사냥로를 확보한다. 또한 스트레스 해소를 위한 쉼터와 스크래쳐를 구성했다.
A place where house cats hunt and play with each other
They can run freely in a long extended space by crossing the two planes, and they can secure various hunting routes by moving the space between the holes. There are also shelters and scratches for stress relief.
Functions
동선
동선이 집중되는 공간
고양이는 다른 어떤 종들보다도 입체적으로 영역을 바라본다. 수많은 구멍과 연결통로는 다양한 동선을 제공하고 이는 더욱 재미있는 술래잡기를 제공한다.
전망
술래이자 포식자의 입장에서 넓은 영역을 내려다볼 수 있는 전망대
먹이를 관찰하고 영역을 살피며 자부심을 표현 할 수 있는 캣타워의 역할을 한다.
Move
Cats look more three-dimensional than any other species. Bridges and holes that can cross or jump space. It offers more fun hunting games through various routes.
View
An observatory where you can see a wider view and feel secure and watch prey.
숨박꼭질
불규칙한 뚫림과 막힘을 제공하는 구멍들과 덤불들은 고양이들의 시선을 교란시켜 사냥의 긴장감을 증폭시킨다.
휴식(수면)
얕고 잦게 잠을 자는 고양이들은 피식자의 본능이 있어 감시가 가능한 동시에 몸을 숨길 수 있는 위치를 끊임없이 물색한다. 어두운 은신처는 고양이들이 휴식할 수 있는 최적의 공간을 제공한다.
Hide&Seek
Irregularities in the presence of holes and bushes that block the view and increase hunting tension.
Rest(Sleep)
A dark hideout that can provide a cat with rest. It is optimized for hunter cats who sleep shallowly and frequently.
Making Process
1. 이차원 평면
크기가 제한된 면적에서 사용자가 뛰어놀 수 있는 공간을 만들기 위해 납작하지만 넓은 직사각형으로 구현하였다.
2. 평면을 교차를 통한 공간 분할
두 평면을 비틀어 교차 시켜 네 개의 각기 다른 공간을 형성하였다. 어떤 다른 종들보다도 입체적으로 영역을 바라보는 고양이에게 다양한 경험을 선사한다.
3. 공간 간의 연결
만들어진 네 개의 공간을 사용자가 자유롭게 가로지를 수 있도록 벽에 격자무늬의 구멍을 뚫었다. 공간 간의 이동이 더욱 편리할 수 있는 통로를 추가로 배치했다. 또한, 시야가 차단된 벽 불규칙적인 뚫림은 술래의 시선을 교란시켜 몸을 숨기기에 적합하고 더욱 재미있는 사냥놀이로 이끈다.
4. 은신처
쫓고 쫓기는 욕구를 해소하기 위해 고양이들은 몸을 완전히 숨길 수 있는 공간이 필요하다. 따라서 벽의 중앙에 작은 공간을 만들고 또한 이러한 공간들은 이동동선을 연결한다.
1. A flat square
The structure was embodied in a flat square. The rectangle was made into a space where cats could run and play.
2. Overlapping squares
I placed two rectangles so that the cat could experience more diverse spaces. So they can rest and hunt across this space.
3. Holes
The four spaced created were drilled into this walls so that cats could freely cross them. Cats used walls to hide themselves and catch each other, satisfying their desire to hunt.
4. Space to hide
To completely relieve the desire to be chased and chased, they need space to hide their bodies completely. So, small spaces were created in the middle of the wall, and the lines of movement were connected.
Maquette
격자무늬와 덤불
격자무늬는 매 초마다 고양이의 시선을 바꾼다. 이 공간의 격자무늬는 고양이들이 서로 숨거나 보여주는 역할을 한다. 또한, 덤불은 그들의 몸을 덮는데 최적화되어 있다.
The Latticework and Bushes
Plaid changes its gaze from time to time. The latticework of this space serves as a way for cats to hide or show each other. Bushes are optimized for covering their bodies.
계단: 분할된 벽의 연결
이는 고양이의 움직임을 더욱 다양화할 수 있는 가능성을 확대시켰다. 이 단계들로, 고양이들은 벽을 오르고 그들과 연결된 다리를 건널 수 있다. 이 행동들은 고양이의 거친 본능을 잘 반영한다.
Staircase: connection of the divided walls
This expanded the possibility of more diversifying cat movements. With these steps, cats can climb up walls and cross bridges connected to them. These actions reflect the cat’s wild instincts well.
